If you sign up without using a provided coupon, you will be liable for and charged for a full month's fee. This discount and the money-back guarantee is limited to new/first-time clients of SA Drummer Academy regardless of the membership level selected. Each user is only granted one coupon code. If you have already been provided with a discount coupon, you will not receive a new one, whether you have used the previous one or not.
1) ABOUT THE LESSONS
1-on-1-lessons are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes each depending on the level you sign up for. Lessons are charged at R799 per month for 30-minute lessons or R1599 for 60-minute lessons. Access to our online-only lessons is charged at R99 per month and does not include any 1-on-1-lessons. You will receive one (1) lesson per week unless more have been booked. These rates are subject to change based on various factors. Any change to rates will first be communicated to you.
1.2) CHANGING MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
If you want to downgrade from a certain level you will be liable for the full month's pay of that current level that you have already been billed for in addition to the new level you are moving to. So make sure to only change your level at the end of your monthly subscription period to avoid any unnecessary costs. If you want to upgrade your level, Contact Us
to receive a coupon that will allow you to upgrade at a Pro-Rata rate.
2) BOOKING NEW LESSONS
Once lessons have been discussed, payment needs to be made before the time can be secured or any lessons can be conducted. Should the booking be for during the current month full payment is required and your subscription will commence from that day onwards. If you cancel your subscription, it will end on the same calendar day as which you started on.
3) OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS
Lessons are paid for one month in advance (upfront payments). If your debit order doesn't successfully go through on the date of renewal, your online access will be revoked with immediate effect, and you will have one week to ensure all payments are up to date before 1-on1 lessons will be ceased as well. The lessons will not continue until your account is up to date. Lessons missed or not conducted due to late payments will not be caught up and you will still be liable for the full fee of that month. If fees are outstanding, we reserve the right to give your time slot away to new enquiries.
4) TERMINATION OF LESSONS
Should the student no longer wish to continue with lessons, one (1) month’s paid notice has to be given whether the student attends the lessons or not. The notice needs to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or done via the membership cancellation page. Lesson cancellations for the current year will not be accepted after the 1st of November. Should a student wish to not continue lessons from January of the coming year, notice by and no later than the 1st of December of the current year is imperative or fees will be charged for January.
5) MISSED OR CANCELLED LESSONS
NB. No refunds or make-up lessons are given or owed for lessons missed by students.
Should the teacher need to miss a lesson, there will be a substitute teacher arranged. If a substitute teacher can not be arranged, a make-up lesson will be scheduled. Should no make-up lesson be made due to a teacher not being able to make up the lesson for whatever reason, you will be credited with one lesson. If an agreed-upon make-up lesson is missed by the student, we will not be liable to credit the lesson and there will be no additional make-up lessons arranged thereafter.
Should a student be running late we will do our best to accommodate as much missed time as possible, however, this is subject to our schedule on the day.
If a teacher is away but able to do the lesson via an online capacity using software such as Zoom or Skype, then the lesson can and will commence and no make-up lesson will need to be arranged.
6) LOAD SHEDDING & ACT OF GOD
We will not be liable to refund or catch up any lessons missed due to load-shedding or any other circumstances outside of our control. This includes but is not limited to Acts of God or national Lockdowns due to any reason.
7) SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Full payments are still to be made during school holidays. No refunds or make-up lessons will be issued for lessons missed during school holidays as long as it is not the teacher missing the lesson. If full payment is not made, then your slot will be given to new enquiries.
8) PUBLIC HOLIDAYSThe school will be closed on all public holidays and such, no lessons will be conducted on a public holiday. If your lesson falls on a public holiday, no refunds or make-up lessons will be given.
9) DECEMBER HOLIDAYS
Each student receives four (4) free lessons at no cost during the year since we do not charge for the 5th lessons that are given on 5-week months. These four (4) lessons will be counted for the lessons that the student will miss due to the school closing between 15 December and 5 January each year as well as our teachers being away on music tours etc. Therefore, full fees need to be paid in December even though the school is closed, as these lessons have already been given to you as explained above.
